Presentation
Metadatas allows you to add more informations to your pages. They are data that qualifies data.
Currently only the plugin wiki_blog uses them, but there is more applications to them :
- indexing
- search
- ...
Here, you can see 2 metadatas have been defined
- first one is named 'category' and is a 'closed' metadata
- second one is named 'place' and is an open one.
A close metadata means the administrator has decided to restrain the set of possible values to a predefined set. An open one means all values are possible.
Action
- to add a new metadata, Use the empty input field. Click on the "add metadata" button when you're done.
- to delete a metadata, click on the delete link
- to change the type of a metadata, use the drop down and click on "update metadata" button when you're done
When you have defined a close metadata, you can also edit the set of possible values : click on the 'values' link.
Editing a closed metadata
- Use the input field to add a new value. Click on "Add value" button to add it.
- select one or several values and click on the "delete selection" to remove one or more values
