WARNING : Access rights are only available to moderators

Why setting access rights

The reasons can be numerous :

you don't have trusts in others,

you want to protect a particular page (like the root page),

...

How ?

Use the "edit ACL" link available in the edit area.

You will be displayed the following form :

Currently, ACL support only write rights. In the future, you will have also :

read right

move right

comment right

plugin defined rights (trackback right for example)

...

On the left are shown the list of available groups. On the right are shown the list of groups having the write rights to the page.

if the write list is empty, that means everyone can modify the page

if the write list is not empty, then only members of the group in the write list can modify the page

Groups are defined in the admin panel. See the related documentation.

To add group(s) in the write list, select one or more groups in the "available list", and use the ">>" button to add them in the write list.

To remove group(s) from the write list, select one or more groups in the "write list", and use the "<<" button to remove them : it will add them again to the list of available groups.

If you want to apply this change to all children of the page you're currently editing, then check the "Apply recursively" checkbox, then use the ">>" or the "<<" button. The operation will be applied on all children too.
